The station for the museums, the university and the trade fair, and the easiest access to the White Tower and the seafront.
Few stations serve so many different things at once. Here the university campus, the city's exhibition grounds and two of Greece's most important museums all come together.
Get off here for
- The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, with the finds of Macedonia.
- The Museum of Byzantine Culture, among the finest of its kind anywhere.
- The Aristotle University, the largest campus in the country.
- The TIF (HELEXPO) exhibition grounds and the OTE Tower.
- The White Tower and the Nea Paralia, a few minutes' walk toward the sea.
Where it puts you
At the eastern edge of the centre, where the city opens into parks and squares. It's the most comfortable starting point for a walk along the seafront to Zongolopoulos' "Umbrellas".
Good to know
During the TIF trade fair in September the station gets very busy. If you're heading to the exhibition, allow extra time.
