Two days for couples: views, sunsets, good food and strolls.

Thessaloniki is a city made for romance: sea views, sunsets over Mount Olympus, great food and atmospheric lanes. Here's an ideal two days for a couple.

Day 1: Sea & sunset

Start with coffee on Aristotelous Square and a relaxed walk along the waterfront to the "Umbrellas". In the afternoon head up to Ano Poli and save the Trigoniou Tower for sunset, with a view over the whole city. Dinner at a taverna with a view or in Ladadika.

Day 2: History & rooftop

Breakfast with a view, then visit the Rotunda and the White Tower. In the evening, cocktails at one of the city's rooftop bars. The most romantic finale.
