Vlatades Monastery is a quiet, green refuge at the top of the Upper Town — history, calm and one of the city's finest views, all in one.
History
Founded in the 14th century, it is the only Byzantine monastery in Thessaloniki in continuous operation to this day. By tradition, the Apostle Paul preached on the site.
